“I was not aware that you would be partaking.” She commented, feeling a little uneasy. With how hard he was to read, and the fast he was a stranger, she was not sure what to expect. He might not wish ill towards her, but how was she supposed to know that? How was she supposed to know he wasn’t as evil or more so than the tyrant she had been offered to in an attempt to keep her home safe? Rea kept her eyes on him, though she realized he was already returning the castle. Hiding her face more, she sighed faintly before following.

"Well if you would rather speak with your father alone, you are more than welcome too. I won't interfere if that is your wish. I just assumed he may wish to meet me albeit through your crystal if he is to make any decision. Though I suppose that can be done at a later time, so for now speak with you father if the storms not to harsh alone." Zander said as he led Rea back to her room before he departed to go prepare for the last portion of the coronation ceremony as he wanted to see what he would have to do.

Rea was not sure what to think when it came to him, and she was not sure him immediately meeting her father in such a way was proper either. She bit her lower lip, nodding as she followed him to the room she was staying in. Rea would have much rather not come during some festive event, especially with how drained she felt. “I do hope the festivities go well.” She bowed politely before going into her room, taking the cloak off herself before taking a small crystal from her chest. Rea whispered softly, the ancient words making the crush glow, pulsing faintly in her hand. Any words she heard were far too faint.
“Seems the storms are still raging…” It wouldn’t be impossible to just return home, though the trek through the blizzards would be the more difficult part of the journey. However, she knew she could not stay here, as what at been agreed upon for a deal was now null.

Zander went about his business and sighed as he listened to his advisor who explained the process of the coronation ceremony to him and after some time they left to go and prepare a banquet for the guests who arrived to celebrate his coming coronation. Afterwards he was focused on making sure everyone was having a good time and wanted to make sure everyone had plenty to eat.

Rea put the crystal away after a moment, crossing her arms as she glanced around the room. For now, she would have to wait, and plan the return trip home. Which, hadn’t been part of the plan before, at least for her. The guard with her had planned for just them, but now they had to account for her. Which, thankfully, wouldn’t delay the trip too much, but the horses still needed to rest. Hopefully during that time she would be able to reach her father. After some time in the room, she left, knowing she needed to get something to eat, but she didn’t want to intrude on any celebration.

Zander getting a break decided to step out to take a break before spotting Rea. "Hello, so I know you most likely don't wish to be here for long but is there anything I can do for you while you are here? I would hate to be a bad host to someone of your stature, granted I will soon be of the same status in a few days." Zander said as he looked at Rea calmly and wanted to do something for her, even if it was just feeding her or anything of that nature.

A few days? It would have been better if that had already happened, one less thing to drain her energy. “No, I do not wish to intrude upon your celebrations, especially since there was no invitation received.” She said, thinking for a moment. She was already feeling the drain from the trip and long stints of being in the carriage, and the fact she didn’t have anything appropriate for the weather or celebration was another factor. She could easily procure a new dress, something more fitting for the climate and coronation, but that coin needed to go to travel back home, as the guard only had the budget for their return trek.
“You’ve already been so hospitable, despite the circumstances, and I appreciate that, however, myself and my guard will have to return home once the horses are rested enough.” She smiled softly, not wanting to intrude more than she already had. “I am a little hungry and was hoping to locate the kitchen.” She was sure there were dinner parties he had to attend, and she didn’t want to pester or delay him.

"Well why don't I escort you? Then again if you wish you could come to the banquet, its casual I'm not making my guests dress up." Zander said as he looked at Rea as he didn't like all the stuffy situations of dressing up though he would have to for the coronation ceremony. As such that was the only time he would dress up as ruler, all the other times he would wear his armor and keep his blade at his side.

“I do not wish to intrude on your celebrations.” She repeated herself, wishing he’d understand she didn’t want to. It was not her place to celebrate, and she was not a guest he had accounted for as well. Rea would much rather not cause any issues, especially diplomatically with other kingdoms. “However, if you insist, it is, after all, your kingdom.” She also didn’t want to offend him, but he was putting her into an awkward situation. She would much rather just leave and not come back.

"I won't push you into joining the banquet, you're more than welcome to visit the kitchen to get something to eat. There is plenty of food after all." Zander stated before a knight came over to tell him that the advisor was looking for him. "It would seem I am needed elsewhere again, I would like to guide you but that seems to be unlikely. So if you wish for a bite from the kitchen, head down this corridor make a left and then go straight past two intersecting hallways and make a right and the kitchen will be the third door on the left." Zander stated before excusing himself, after which it was the following day in which the coronation occurred and he was placed on official rule of the Kingdom and then he saw his guests off at the front steps to the Castle watching as carriage after carriage of nobles and royal families departed. Afterwards he headed back inside to the study to enact the laws and rules he decided to write up to change the situation in the kingdom as he also planned to rename the kingdom of Harean into the Grant Kingdom changing it the kingdom into his last name now that he was the new ruler to remove the stigma of the old kingdom's name and ruler.

“Have a good evening then.” It seemed things went far too quickly, the young woman not even recalling the last twenty-four hours, though she hadn’t seemed to leave the room after her encounter with him. Planning the return home was more important, but it also needed to be timed correctly to avoid dangerous travel conditions. Traveling in those storms was not easy, but it was still doable, if you planned correctly and stuck to the main roads. Even so, she didn’t seem to leave the room, even after the celebrations.

Zander dealt with the matters he needed to as Rea and her group of guards would be the last to leave despite the rest of his guests already leaving since their journey would be easier than Rea's group who had to traverse a blizzard. As such Zander saw Rea off as well before he went back inside to deal with infrastructure issues that needed to be dealt with due to the sewer systems being dated, as such he planned to pay extra for workers and make sure they had all the protective wear they needed to do the job so they wouldn't get sick wanting to make sure that the sewers got fixed up and sanitized as he also planned to lower taxes so that the common folk could live more comfortably without having to sell off their assets to maintain their living.

It would a few days before she and her guard could leave, the young woman needing to time the departure as best as possible. She had been careful to keep out of the way, and to not be a bother, opting to linger inside and out of sight in the library of the room she was staying in. The young woman was polite and kind, though seemed a little skittish on occasion. But she promised to send a letter once she was home safe.
The journey would be uneventful, at least until they reached the border of his kingdom. The road was blocked, a large tree fallen over, seemingly having fallen. Though as her guard busied themselves with removing the obstacle, Rea noticed something seemed amiss. It seemed as if the tree had been cut. Before she could say anything, the ambush came, men in black cloaks and hoods attacking the carriage and the guard. Whoever these assailants were, they were no bandits, easily overpowering her and her guard, though one was allowed to escape, injured as he made his way back to the main city and the castle.

Zander was in his study when word of a wounded knight came to reach his ears, as such he ordered the staff to call for the physician to treat the man as he went to speak with him. "What is going on, you were among the knights sent with Lady Rea correct? What has happened? Is she alright? I know you must be in pain, but time is of the essence! My physician will treat you and then you can rest for a bit." Zander said as he needed to get the details of why one of Rea's men were injured and returned to the castle, he had his suspicions but wasn't aware of the full situation only assuming that her group may have been attacked by someone but wasn't aware of just who it was or what the motive behind the attack was.

The guard was weak and tired, the healer already looking over the wounds, calm as Zander came into the room, mixing an herbal paste for the wounds. “They were all dressed in black.” He looked at him, knowing that finding the princess was important. “They set a trap, ambushing, attacking quickly. They grabbed her, and I heard something about honoring the true king.”
