This power allows her to absorb and merge with shadows, gaining enhanced physical abilities such as increased strength, agility, and resilience. When merged with shadows, Nyx can move through solid objects by slipping into the shadow realm, making her an excellent escape artist and infiltrator. Additionally, she can manipulate the shadows she merges with to create shadow constructs or projectiles that can be used offensively or defensively. Her connection to shadows also grants her the ability to sense movements and presences within the darkness, giving her an edge in combat and stealth operations.

Nyx was born a morlock, and like any of the others she was born with a physical mutation. Though, she never let it get to her she has been living in the sewers with the others, and through their hate for the X-Men who can be topside Nyx was tasked with infiltrating Xavier's Academy for Gifted Youngsters by the morlocks' leader Marrow to find out about their weaknesses, and personal information in order to defeat the X-Men as Professor Xavier extended a hand to the Morlocks as well but no other morlocks took him up on the offer.
